Summary

Accessible Home Health Care is a is a leading home health care agency, established in 2001, that provides high quality medical and non-medical home care services to all age groups. It was started after the co-founder of the firm, Mirella Salem, was unable to find an adequate, responsible care for her ageing mother. The firm is an innovative trend setter in the industry, from having customized care programs to being the first home health care company to provide technology portal (24/7 Health Vitals) for remote patient monitoring and telehealth services to hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and physician’s.

The firm started with 3 locations in South Florida and took the initiative to make positive changes in elder care. To ensure patients receive the best care, it began the public awareness program known as the “Patient's Bill of Rights” and actively lobbied for stricter laws governing care providers. In 2006, Accessible Home Health Care opened their first international franchise located in Mumbai, India. In 2009 and 2010, the company was named one of the fastest growing franchising companies in the United States by Entrepreneur Magazine and appeared in the magazine’s Top 500 Franchises list for two years in a row. In 2015, the firm expanded further and in January opened a new, international location in Nairobi, Kenya which was the country’s first certified in-home health care provider. In 2016, Accessible opened a company owned unit in Dubai, UAE, which was the first full-service home health care unit in Dubai.
